While Transit 1 was developed as "the ultimate transition designer," solving a specific mixing need in modern music production, Transit 2 vastly expands the creative possibilities. With 4 brand-new motion modes and 10 new effect modules, the plugin is now a supercharged, one-stop workstation for adding motion to dull mixes. Transit 2 ships with 6 ‘Motion Modes,’ each offering a unique form of movement that can be introduced to the FX chain. New Motion Modes include an envelope follower, LFO, sidechain, and gate. These modes can be used to control what are essentially 28 micro-plugins, developed to Baby Audio’s high-quality standards, and freely arrangeable across a semi-modular FX chain. Among the 10 new effects are flexible, sound-design-friendly modules like a Looper, Mod Filter, Reverser, and Analog Chorus.
Transit 2 comes loaded with 838 carefully created presets by Andrew Huang and industry-leading sound designers, along with a powerful randomization mode that lets users lock parameters to affect only certain parts of the plugin. Transit 2 is compatible with all major DAWs for Mac and PC, including Apple Silicon devices. An iOS version is underway. Owners of the original Transit can upgrade to the new version for just $29.
