How to resolve AdBlock issue? HK Audio COSMO for Winterleuchten Oelde
An HK Audio COSMO line array system was called into action to support performances on the main stage at the annual Winterleuchten Oelde. The solution for the event was provided by local rental partner MA Holtewert Eventconcept and designed to cover the large audience area in the town’s main square. Located in the North Rhine-Westphalia rSegion in the west of Germany, Oelde is a small town with a long history. It holds an annual winter lights festival designed to bring locals and tourists alike into the town centre to shop and be entertained. The focal point for this is the town square where the main stage hosts a variety of performances from choral singers to magicians. The most recent event was headlined by Dutch rock band Enorm, meaning the stage PA needed to deliver high SPLs in a controlled manner.
The main stage for the festival was equipped by MA Holtewert Eventconcept, with the team opting for a COSMO line array to provide even coverage to the audience area. The rental company deployed hangs of three COSMO C6 and two COSMO C10 per side, with eight COSMO C SUB CS 118 supplementing the low frequencies. On stage, six CONTOUR X CX 12 point source speakers were deployed as monitors, while another pair of CX 12 were used for nearfields.
MA Holtewert Eventconcept was able to take advantage of the flexibility in coverage pattern of the COSMO family for the project. The C10s were deployed as the top section of the mixed array, ensuring a long throw to the back of the square, while the wide, 100° horizontal dispersion of the C6 enclosures meant that all of the crowd was bathed in pristine audio. This combination provided a compact yet powerful solution that covered the audience area perfectly.
