Lawo at Prolight + Sound 2023 presents IP-based solutions
Lawo will present its solutions for theaters and opera houses based on HOME, Lawo's management platform for IP media infrastructures, at this year's Prolight + Sound (Booth D11, Hall 11.0). The stars in Frankfurt will be Lawo's flagship of the mc² series, the mc²96 Grand Production Console, and the mc²56 audio production console, both powered by the A__UHD Core audio engine.
HOME, Lawo's management platform for IP-based media infrastructures, is natively built on a cloud-enabled microservices architecture, enabling users to connect, manage and protect networked production setups from the ground up. It also provides centralized access and control for all Lawo and certified third-party devices within a setup. HOME creates a powerful, agile network from a variety of devices, facilities, locations, hubs and data centers - quickly and securely.
The mc² 96 Grand Production Console features a unique feature set and offers performance optimized for IP production environments with native ST2110 support. The revolutionary LiveView feature allows miniature previews of video streams to be shown directly in the fader displays. The mc²96 offers a comprehensive theater automation cue list with multiple triggers (MDID, GPIO, LTC, etc.), an oversnaps function, Waves plug-in integration as well as workflow-related customization of functions and features, mirror console operation, and integrated loudness metering for “visual” mixing.
Optimized for modern IP-based production environments, the Lawo mc²56 audio production console (which will be shown in Frankfurt with a remote extender) offers native support for SMPTE 2110, AES67/RAVENNA, DANTE (via a Power Core gateway), MADI and Ember+. In terms of local I/O, it includes 16 Lawo-quality MIC/line inputs, 16 line outputs, eight AES3 inputs and outputs, eight GPIO, and a local MADI port (SFP).
Powering both members of the mc² family is the software-defined A__UHD Core Audio Engine with intuitive HOME functionality. Up to 1,024 mc²-quality DSP channels can be shared between multiple consoles based on a flexible licensing system.
Visitors to Prolight + Sound are invited to visit booth D11 in Hall 11.0 to learn more about the entire Lawo portfolio, and how Lawo solutions can help them reach their goals and their audience.
